I explored the data first to spot anomalies before building anything, then structured the report so each Power BI page answers one stakeholder question (temporal trends, customer/segment, merchant patterns, revenue/channel). Built using Power BI and DAX Key insights: only 15% of transactions completed, with £1.36M reversed; device type perfectly predicted outcome (Web always reverses, Android always pends) pointing to a routing bug; the risk model was backwards, with "High risk" categories showing lower fraud than "Low risk" ones; and all fraud came from KYC-verified customers, not unverified ones. One customer alone accounted for 59% of fraud-flagged value.
